To find and use the Track Changes feature in Microsoft Word:

  • Go to the Review tab on the ribbon at the top of the Word window.
  • In the Review tab, look for the Track Changes button, usually located in the Tracking group.
  • Click Track Changes to turn it on; when enabled, edits you make will be marked and tracked in the document.
  • You can toggle Track Changes on or off by clicking the button again or by using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + E (in Windows).
  • When Track Changes is on, insertions, deletions, formatting changes, and comments will be visibly marked in different colors or with balloons in the margin, depending on your settings

This feature is essential for collaborative editing, allowing multiple reviewers to suggest changes that can later be accepted or rejected by the document owner
