The Find My app on iPhone is pre-installed and looks like a green radar icon. You can locate it by swiping down from the middle of the Home screen and typing "Find My" in the search bar. The app combines the features of the old Find My iPhone and Find My Friends apps into one
. To find your app:
- Swipe down on your iPhone's Home screen to open Search.
- Type "Find My" in the search field.
- Tap the Find My app icon (green radar) when it appears.
If you don't see it, it might be hidden in a folder or restricted by Screen Time settings. You can also access Find My via a web browser by going to icloud.com/find and signing in with your Apple ID
. Once opened, the Find My app lets you locate your Apple devices, share your location with friends, and find items with AirTags attached
. If you want to enable Find My on your iPhone, go to:
- Settings > tap your Apple ID at the top > Find My > turn on Find My iPhone and Location Services for it to work properly
This setup allows you to track your device on a map, play a sound, mark it as lost, or erase it remotely if needed
