To delete an app on your iPhone, follow these steps:
- On the Home Screen, touch and hold the app you want to delete until a menu appears or the apps start to jiggle.
- Tap Remove App.
- Then tap Delete App.
- Confirm by tapping Delete again.
This will completely remove the app from your iPhone
. Alternatively, you can delete apps via the Settings app:
- Open Settings.
- Tap General.
- Tap iPhone Storage.
- Scroll and select the app you want to delete.
- Tap Delete App.
- Confirm the deletion.
This method also removes the app and its data from your device
. If you only want to remove the app from the Home Screen but keep it in your App Library, choose Remove from Home Screen instead of Delete App in step 3 above
. Note: Deleting an app does not automatically cancel any in-app subscriptions you may have, so be sure to manage those separately if needed
. If you encounter issues deleting apps, it might be due to Screen Time restrictions. You can disable these by going to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions and turning off the restrictions
