How to Get Shielded Cargo
- Travel to the Porrima Star System , specifically to the planet Porrima III.
- Land at the Red Mile area on Porrima III.
- Inside the Red Mile, locate Lon Anderssen by heading past the ship services desk and turning right through a door.
- Speak to Lon Anderssen and choose the option to view and modify your ship.
- Enter the Ship Builder menu and navigate to the Cargo modules section.
- Purchase a Shielded Cargo Hold module (various sizes and prices available).
- Remove your existing cargo hold and install the Shielded Cargo Hold on your ship.
Alternatively, you can get a ship with Shielded Cargo pre-installed by completing the Mantis quest , which rewards you with the Razorleaf ship that has Shielded Cargo from the start
How to Use Shielded Cargo for Contraband
- When you put contraband items (marked with a yellow symbol) into your ship’s cargo hold, they are automatically placed into the Shielded Cargo section if there is enough shielded capacity.
- The Shielded Cargo hold hides these contraband items from scanners when you enter planetary orbit, preventing detection and arrest.
- It is best to keep your contraband load well below the Shielded Cargo capacity to maximize the chance of successful smuggling. If you exceed the shielded capacity, excess contraband will be stored in regular cargo and can be detected
