The NFL Draft lasts for three days. It is held from Thursday through Saturday each spring.
- Day 1 (Thursday) features the first round, starting at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, with teams having 10 minutes per pick.
- Day 2 (Friday) includes rounds 2 and 3, starting at 7 p.m. Eastern Time, with 7 minutes per pick in round 2 and 5 minutes per pick in round 3.
- Day 3 (Saturday) covers rounds 4 through 7, starting at noon Eastern Time, with 5 minutes per pick in rounds 4-6 and 4 minutes per pick in round 7
This three-day format has been in place since 2010 to allow teams adequate time to make their selections and adjust strategies as picks are made.
