A standard netball game lasts for 60 minutes, divided into four quarters of 15 minutes each. There are breaks of four minutes between the first and second quarters and the third and fourth quarters, and a halftime break of 12 minutes (which can be shortened to eight minutes if agreed upon).
If the score is tied at the end of the game, extra time may be played, typically consisting of two halves of seven minutes each with a one-minute break in between, continuing until one team leads by two goals.
