At the end of Act III of Romeo and Juliet , Juliet decides to seek Friar Laurence's advice to find a way out of her desperate situation. After Romeo is banished and her parents arrange for her to marry Paris, Juliet refuses the match and feels isolated when even her Nurse advises her to marry Paris. Disgusted by this betrayal, Juliet pretends to agree to the marriage but secretly plans to consult Friar Laurence for help. She also contemplates taking her own life if no solution can be found
