To allow unknown sources on your Amazon Firestick, follow these steps:
- From the Firestick home screen, navigate to Settings.
- Select My Fire TV (on older models, this may be labeled Device).
- Choose Developer Options.
- Select Install unknown apps.
- Find the app you want to allow to install unknown sources, typically the Downloader app, and toggle it On. This enables that app to install third-party APKs from unknown sources.
If you don't have the Downloader app installed:
- Go to the Amazon App Store on your Firestick.
- Search for Downloader.
- Install the app.
- Then return to the Install unknown apps menu to enable it.
This process allows you to sideload apps not available on the Amazon Appstore, expanding your streaming options. Be cautious to download apps only from trusted sources to avoid security risks
