Cam Skattebo shakes his head during games not because of an injury or a medical condition, but as a voluntary gesture that originated from a practical issue with his helmet sticking to his face due to sweat. He explained that his helmet pads would stick to his cheeks as his sweat dried, which became particularly noticeable when he had shorter hair and was clean-shaven. To manage this, he developed the habit of shaking his head vigorously before runs to get his helmet into a perfect fit. Over time, this behavior has become more of an OCD-like ritual and a part of his focused game routine. This head- shaking is neither a sign of concussion nor a nervous tic but a unique personal ritual that teammates and coaches have grown accustomed to seeing during games.
