B.G., whose real name is Christopher Dorsey, went to jail because he pled guilty to federal charges of being a felon in possession of firearms and obstruction of justice. In a 2009 traffic stop in New Orleans East, police found three guns in his stolen rental car. B.G. initially tried to have one of his associates falsely claim ownership of a gun but later confessed to the crimes. He was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison in 2012 and was released after serving 11 years in 2023. The charges stemmed from his possession of guns as a convicted felon and obstructing justice during the investigation.
