The Apollo 11 crew consisted of three astronauts:
- Neil Armstrong, Mission Commander and the first person to walk on the Moon.
- Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, Lunar Module Pilot and the second person to walk on the Moon.
- Michael Collins, Command Module Pilot who orbited the Moon while Armstrong and Aldrin were on the surface.
Armstrong and Aldrin landed the Lunar Module "Eagle" on the Moon on July 20, 1969, while Collins remained in lunar orbit aboard the Command Module "Columbia"
