She is best known for her comedic roles, especially as Cindy Campbell in the Scary Movie film series (2000–2006), which brought her to prominence. Her film career includes notable titles such as The Hot Chick (2002), Lost in Translation (2003), Brokeback Mountain (2005), Just Friends (2005), My Super Ex-Girlfriend (2006), The House Bunny (2008), and Overboard (2018).
