where is highclere castle

Highclere Castle is located in Hampshire, England, about 5 miles (8 kilometers) south of Newbury, Berkshire, and roughly 9.5 miles (15 kilometers) north of Andover, Hampshire. It is situated west of London, not far from the M4 motorway and Newbury town center. The castle is part of a large estate spanning around 5,000 acres (2,000 hectares) and is the country seat of the Earls of Carnarvon.
