where does ken burns live

Ken Burns lives in Walpole, New Hampshire. He has resided in a white colonial house there since 1979, when he moved from Manhattan. His home is surrounded by an apple orchard and includes a barn used as an editing suite and home theater. The setting in this small town, about three and a half hours from Manhattan, has given him the peace and clarity to create his documentary films. Burns also has invested in properties and local businesses in Walpole, including a French bistro called The Restaurant at Burdicks and a grocery store. Despite his success and other properties, his roots remain strongly in Walpole, where he also owns 110 acres of land.
