Tina Fey went to college at the University of Virginia, where she studied drama and graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in drama
. During her time at UVA, she was involved in the drama department, writing, directing, and acting in plays, and was a member of the student theater organization First Year Players as well as the Delta Zeta Sorority
. After graduating, she moved to Chicago to pursue comedy and took classes at The Second City improvisational group
