Terry Fox was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, but he grew up primarily in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. His family moved from Winnipeg to Surrey in 1966 and then settled in Port Coquitlam in 1968, where he spent most of his childhood and adolescence.
