Ryan Seacrest attended the University of Georgia, where he studied journalism starting in 1992. However, he left the university before graduating to move to Los Angeles and pursue his broadcasting career at the age of 19
. Later, in recognition of his achievements, the University of Georgia awarded him an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree
