Michelle Obama attended Princeton University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology in 1985, graduating cum laude. She also minored in African-American studies and completed a senior thesis titled "Princeton- Educated Blacks and the Black Community." After Princeton, she went on to Harvard Law School, receiving her Juris Doctor degree in 1988
