Bryce Harper did not attend a traditional four-year college. Instead, after completing two years of high school, he earned his GED and then spent one year at the College of Southern Nevada, a junior college, where he played baseball before being drafted into Major League Baseball (MLB) in 2010. During his time there, he set a school record with 31 home runs and won the 2010 Golden Spikes Award as the top amateur baseball player in the U.S.
