Sukkot in the year 2025 begins at sundown on Monday, October 6, and ends at nightfall on Monday, October 13. The first two days (October 6-8) are full festival days when many observant Jews refrain from work. The following days are known as Chol HaMoed, the intermediate days during which normal activities can resume while still celebrating the festival. Sukkot is immediately followed by the holidays Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah on October 13-15, 2025.
