when is gcse results day 2025

The GCSE results day for 2025 is on Thursday, 21st August. The results will be released to schools on Wednesday, 20th August 2025, and students can usually collect their results from around 8am on the Thursday. Some schools might have slightly different arrangements, so it's good to check with your school. Additionally, a few students in pilot areas will receive their results via an app from 11am on the same day. If a student cannot collect their results in person, alternative arrangements such as receiving by email or post or nominating someone else to collect them can usually be made in advance.
