Eid al-Adha is celebrated on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the twelfth and final month of the Islamic lunar calendar. In 2025, Eid al-Adha is expected to begin on the evening of Friday, June 6, and will last for about three days, ending on the evening of Tuesday, June 10, depending on the sighting of the moon. This festival commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. It coincides with the conclusion of the annual Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
