when does fafsa close for 2025-26

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for the 2020-2021 academic year closed on June 30, 2021. This is the federal deadline by which the FAFSA had to be submitted to be considered for federal financial aid for the 2020-2021 school year. However, some states and colleges had earlier priority deadlines for financial aid consideration within that academic year.
