Clocks change twice a year for daylight saving time:
- In spring 2025, the clocks "spring forward" 1 hour on Sunday, March 9 at 2 a.m., moving ahead to 3 a.m.
- In fall 2025, the clocks "fall back" 1 hour on Sunday, November 2 at 2 a.m., moving back to 1 a.m.
This means in spring we lose an hour of sleep, and in fall we gain an hour. The exact dates and times apply mainly to the United States; the UK and some other regions have different dates, such as the last Sunday in October for the fall clock change in the UK (October 26, 2025).
