Tay-K, whose real name is Taymor McIntyre, initially went to jail after being captured on June 30, 2017, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, following three months on the run after cutting off his ankle monitor while on house arrest. This was connected to a 2016 home invasion and robbery case in Mansfield, Texas, during which 21-year-old Ethan Walker was killed. He was convicted of murder in July 2019 for that 2016 incident and sentenced to 55 years in prison. Later, in April 2025, Tay-K was found guilty of killing another man, 23-year-old Mark Saldivar, during a 2017 botched carjacking while on the run and was sentenced to an additional 80 years. These sentences are to be served concurrently. So, in summary:
