WhatsApp groups are collections of users who can share messages, photos, videos, and other content with each other. Each group can have up to 100 participants and one or more administrators who manage the group members
How to create a WhatsApp group
- Open WhatsApp and go to the Chats tab.
- Tap the New chat icon, then select New group.
- Select contacts to add to the group by searching or scrolling through your contacts list.
- Tap the green arrow or Next.
- Enter a group name (up to 25 characters) and optionally add an emoji or group profile picture.
- Tap the green check mark or Create to finalize the group
How to manage a WhatsApp group
- To manage the group, open the group chat and tap the group name at the top.
- You can add participants, remove members, or assign other admins.
- If you leave the group as the only admin, another member will be randomly assigned as admin.
- Messages sent in the group are visible to all members, even if you have blocked some participants individually
