what kind of plane hit the twin towers

The planes that hit the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001, were commercial airliners: American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175. Both were Boeing 767 aircraft. Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower, and Flight 175 hit the South Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City.
