Nigerian musician MohBad died on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27 in Lagos. His death followed injuries sustained during a violent fight with his childhood friend, Oluwatosin Owoduni (known as Primeboy), in which MohBad cut his hand on a car window
. After the injury became swollen and painful, a nursing assistant named Feyisayo Ogedengbe was called to treat him at home. She administered three injections—Tetanus Toxoid, Paracetamol (IV), and Ceftriaxone (IV)—despite not being qualified to give injections. Shortly after the injections, MohBad began vomiting and convulsing, was rushed to the hospital, and subsequently died
. The Lagos State Police identified the nursing assistant as the prime suspect, and she was arrested. Other individuals, including Primeboy, MohBad’s friend Ayobami Sadiq, and others, were also named as suspects in the investigation

An autopsy and toxicology tests conducted later did not conclusively determine the cause of death but suggested a possible fatal anaphylactic shock or drug reaction triggered by the injections given by the nursing assistant. The autopsy revealed no significant gross pathological findings aside from the injury on his forearm, and toxicology detected Diphenhydramine, an antihistamine, but at non-fatal levels
