Utamaduni Day is a public holiday in Kenya that is celebrated on October 10th each year. The day is set aside to celebrate the countrys rich cultural diversity and heritage. The name "Utamaduni" is derived from the Swahili word for culture. The holiday was introduced in 2021 and replaced Huduma (Service) Day, which was initially adopted to regularize the October 10th holiday introduced in honor of Kenyas second President, Daniel arap Moi. The day is celebrated with various cultural activities, including music, dance, and traditional food. In 2023, President Ruto led the Utamaduni Day celebrations at the Bomas of Kenya.
