The Social Security payment schedule for 2023 is as follows:
- If you were born between the 1st and the 10th of the month, you will receive your Social Security payments on the second Wednesday of each month.
- If you were born between the 11th and the 20th of the month, you will receive your Social Security payments on the third Wednesday of each month.
- If you were born between the 21st and the 31st of the month, you will receive your Social Security payments on the fourth Wednesday of each month.
For Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients, payments are made on the first of each month. However, if the first of the month falls on a weekend or holiday, the payment will be sent on the weekday prior to the first.
In September 2023, SSI recipients will receive two payments: one on September 1 and one on September 29. There will be no SSI benefit payments in January, April, July, and October, while beneficiaries will receive their payments at both the beginning and end of March, June, and September.
If you receive both Social Security and SSI, the payment schedule is different. Instead of getting your payments on a Wednesday, youll receive your Social Security payment on the third day of each month and your SSI on the first day of each month.
