The rainbow colors on NFL jerseys are worn during the Crucial Catch campaign, which is a partnership between the NFL and the American Cancer Society (ACS) to raise awareness and funds for cancer research and treatment. The rainbow colors represent all types of cancer, and the campaign runs from Week 4 to Week 6 of the NFL season. During this time, NFL teams wear multi-colored equipment, including helmet decals, captains patches, wristbands, sideline hats, and quarterback towels, as well as multi-colored ribbon pins for coaches and teams. The NFL also introduced tie-dye designs to promote the Crucial Catch Program initiated by the ACS, with all revenue generated from the sale of these designs forwarded to the ACS. In 2021, the NFL introduced a new logo consisting of rainbow colors to show support and solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month.
