As of Sunday, July 9, 2023, the cost of a first-class stamp is 66 cents. This is a 4.8% increase from the previous cost of 63 cents. The cost of a Forever stamp has also increased to 66 cents. Other postage rate increases include:

- International postcards: $1.50
- Letters (1 ounce) - metered mail/stamps.com rate: 63 cents
- Letters (1 ounce) - retail/post office rate: 66 cents
Its worth noting that Forever stamps can still be used for first-class mail no matter when or what price you purchased them for. The USPS has cited rising operating expenses fueled by inflation and the impacts of a previously defective pricing model as reasons for the price increases.
