A USI (Unique Student Identifier) is an individual education number for life that gives you an online record of your vocational education and training (VET) undertaken in Australia. It is a reference number made up of a combination of ten numbers and letters and is used to connect your VET achievements, regardless of where you studied.

If you are looking for your USI, there are several ways to find it:

  • Email address: If you have previously created a USI account, you can enter the email address saved on your account and click Submit. An email will be sent to you with your USI.

  • University portal: If you are a student at the University of Southern Indiana, you can access your USI through the myUSI portal. This portal allows you to register for classes, view your class schedule, view paystubs, request transcripts, view your financial aid status, and more.

  • Department of Education: If you are a new higher education student in Australia, you will need a USI to be eligible for a Commonwealth supported place. You can create a USI through the Department of Educations website.

If you are still unable to find your USI, you can contact the USI help desk for assistance.
