E-challan is a computer-generated challan used by the Indian traffic police to penalize traffic defaulters in India. The Government of India has initiated the e-challan system for a transparent, convenient, and easy settlement of challans. With the facility of e-challan, the general public can now check and pay their challan online or offline as per incorporated by their state/city government. E-challan is an electronically generated challan document that is issued with the help of Electronic Challan System.
To pay an e-challan online, you can follow these steps:
- Go to the official website of Parivahan Sewa or your state’s transport department, and click on the “Pay Online” option available on the top bar.
- Enter the specified details by selecting Challan Number, Vehicle Number, or DL Number.
- Add the Captcha and enter the “Get Detail” option.
- Proceed to “Pay Now”.
- Select the “Type of Violation” option to pay the e-challan.
- Choose your preferred payment mode (Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card) to make the payment and complete the payment by entering the needed information.
It is also possible to pay e-challan using UPI.
