Autopay is a feature in Google Pay that allows users to set up a mandate for recurring payments with UPI applications without having to enter a PIN for every payment. This feature is called UPI Autopay and is currently supported through @okaxis, @okhdfcbank, and @okicici handles. With UPI Autopay, users can set up automatic recurring payments for online subscription services, much like they can do with debit and credit cards.

To manage recurring payments on Google Pay, users can follow these steps:

  1. Open the Google Pay app.
  2. At the top right, click your profile picture.
  3. Select Autopay.
  4. Find your mandate in the Live, Pending, or Completed tabs.
  5. To modify or revoke a mandate, select the mandate in the Live tab and tap Cancel autopay. Enter your UPI PIN and check the status in the Live tab.
  6. To authorize payment requests from merchants, enter your UPI PIN when the payment is due.

If a user revokes a UPI Autopay mandate, merchants cannot debit funds from their account. Users will be notified by their bank 24 hours in advance for the funds to be debited.
