An introverted extrovert is a type of ambivert personality thats grounded in extroversion but with some introverted tendencies. It is someone whose personality does not correlate to either of the extroversion-introversion extremes. Instead, an introverted extrovert falls closer to the extroversion spectrum, holding many of the same characteristics and traits as extroverts, but also has the ability to show introverted traits. They are primarily energized by being around people but can start to become depleted when around people for too long and still will crave alone time to recharge, much like an introvert. Introverted extroverts can focus all their extroverted energy at a party, a work event, or a social gathering to connect with other people and then may need deep rest to recharge. They are social chameleons who adapt to their environment to maximize their interaction.
