Zoom AI Companion is an AI assistant that is integrated into the Zoom platform to help users improve productivity, collaborate with teammates, and enhance their skills. It is a generative AI digital assistant that delivers powerful, real-time capabilities to help users work together more effectively. AI Companion is available for Meetings, Team Chat, Mail, and Whiteboard.
Here are some ways that AI Companion can help you:
- During a meeting, you can ask AI Companion to help you file a support ticket or research critical information based on issues or questions raised in real-time.
- After a meeting, AI Companion will present the summary of the meeting, identify the extracted action items, and prompt you to share next steps with key stakeholders in Zoom Team Chat.
- AI Companion can help you draft emails and chat messages, summarize meetings and chat threads, brainstorm creatively, and much more.
- AI Companion can provide an analysis of recorded phone calls and summaries of SMS messages and voicemails on Zoom Phone.
AI Companion is included at no additional cost with the paid services assigned to your Zoom user account. However, it is important to note that AI Companion utilizes developing AI technology, and AI Companion features may provide incorrect, inaccurate, misleading, or offensive responses.
To enable or disable AI Companion for all users in the account, you can follow these steps:
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
- In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Account Settings.
- Click the AI Companion tab.
- Under Meeting, click the AI Companion Questions toggle to enable or disable it.
- Under Who can ask questions to AI Companion?, choose who in the meeting can interact with AI Companion.
It is important to note that AI Companion only supports meetings held in English, as well as all questions and responses. Only the meeting host can start or stop AI Companion through the in-meeting controls, and questions can only be answered if the content was discussed while AI Companion is active in the current meeting.
