According to recent news articles, Chandrayaan-3, Indias third lunar mission, has been in a state of slumber on the moon since early September. The mission, which includes the Vikram lander and Pragyan rover, was put into sleep mode after completing its assignments, but it has not woken up as expected, raising concerns about its operational status. On September 22, after a new lunar day began, ISRO stated that efforts were made to establish contact with the Vikram lander and Pragyan rover, both powered by solar energy. However, despite efforts, there have been no signals received from either the lander or the rover. According to space scientist and former ISRO chairman, AS Kiran Kumar, there is no hope of reviving India’s third lunar mission.
