Eddie Ray Routh, the man who killed Chris Kyle and his friend Chad Littlefield in 2013, was found guilty of capital murder in February 2015. Despite his defense team's argument that he was insane at the time due to schizophrenia or severe PTSD, the prosecution successfully argued that Routh was aware of his actions and was a psychopath. The jury deliberated less than three hours before convicting him. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
