NSYNC was a popular American boy band formed in 1995, consisting of Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick. They released four studio albums and were nominated for eight Grammys, won seven MTV Video Music Awards, and received three American Music Awards. The band went on an indefinite hiatus in 2002 and two years later, Timberlake announced his exit from NSYNC. Eventually, their hiatus quietly turned into a breakup.
Heres what each member has been up to since the bands split:
-
Justin Timberlake: He has become an actor and a 10-time Grammy winner. He has also released several successful solo albums and acted in numerous films.
-
JC Chasez: He released his first and only solo album "Schizophrenic" in 2004. In the years that followed, he landed some acting roles and served as a judge on the MTV reality competition series "Americas Best Dance Crew." He also worked as a music producer, working with artists including Girls Aloud, Sugababes, McFly, and Matt Cardle.
-
Lance Bass: He has arguably maintained the highest public profile since the end of the boy band in 2002. He has worked as a television host, actor, and producer. He also competed on "Dancing with the Stars" and has been involved in various philanthropic efforts.
-
Joey Fatone: He has had a varied mix of acting roles and television presenting since NSYNCs split. He has also appeared on "Dancing with the Stars" and has hosted various television shows.
-
Chris Kirkpatrick: After NSYNC, he started his own band called Nigels 11 and even dabbled in country music. He has also appeared on various television shows and competed on "Gone Country," a Country Music Television show.
In 2023, NSYNC reunited to record a new song entitled "Better Place" for the film Trolls Band Together. They also made a surprise appearance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, where they sang a medley of hits including "Girlfriend" and "Bye Bye Bye".
