After Jesus rose from the dead, he appeared multiple times to his followers over a period of about forty days. These post-resurrection appearances were recorded in the New Testament and served to prove he was truly alive and to instruct his disciples. Key events after Jesus' resurrection include:
- Jesus first appeared to Mary Magdalene at the tomb and then to other women who came to the tomb
