Crystal Castles is a Canadian electronic band that was active from 2006 to 2017. The bands second album, released in 2010, was a mix of synth-pop and loud rock sounds. In October 2014, the bands lead singer, Alice Glass, left the band and accused her ex-bandmate, Ethan Kath, of non-consensual sex and controlling behavior. After Glasss allegations, the band canceled the rest of their tour and went completely silent. Since then, Crystal Castles has been inactive, having not released any new material, performed any concerts, or even provided any updates on its own status. In 2018, Glass released a solo album and has been performing across the world for her Traumabond tour. The bands longtime manager, James Sandom, no longer works with the group. Kath sued Glass for defamation, but his suit was dismissed by the court.
