- Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to empower His followers for their mission, a promise fulfilled on Pentecost, 50 days after the resurrection, marking the birth of the Church
- After completing His ministry on Earth during these 40 days, Jesus ascended into heaven, returning to His rightful place and continuing His presence spiritually through the Holy Spirit among believers
