To find out which electorate you are in, you can use the search function on the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) website. Here are the steps:
- Go to the AEC website.
- Click on "Home Electorate Search".
- Enter your criteria, such as your locality, postcode, or name, in the search bar.
- Select either locality, postcode, or name from the drop-down menu.
- Click on the "Search" button.
The search results will show you which federal electorate you live in, as well as a profile and map of your electorate and the name of the incumbent House of Representatives member. Note that in some cases, a locality/suburb or postcode may be in more than one federal electorate. If this is the case, you can contact the AEC to confirm which federal electorate you live in.
