Doxxed (or doxxed) means that someone's private, personally identifiable information has been publicly revealed online without their consent. This can include details like home addresses, phone numbers, social security numbers, workplace information, or other sensitive data. The act is often done to shame, harass, intimidate, or cause harm to the person targeted. Originally, the term "doxing" comes from "dropping docs (documents)" and was used by hackers to expose someone's identity. Nowadays, it's considered a form of cyberbullying or cyberattack with often malicious intent.
