Buy turnips: Every Sunday between 5 am and 12 pm, a boar named Daisy Mae will visit your island and sell turnips from Sow Joans Stalk Market. You can buy turnips in bunches of 10, and the price will vary each week.

Store turnips: Once youve purchased your turnips, you can store them in your inventory pockets, place them within your home, or bury them in a designated spot on your island.

Sell turnips: You can sell turnips to Timmy and Tommy at Nooks Cranny, like anything else. The price will change twice a day, and its important to sell them before the following Saturday at 10 pm, as they will spoil and become worthless.
Its worth noting that turnips placed around your island will be seen by Isabelle as trash, so you will be unable to achieve or maintain a 5-star rating with turnips lying around. Additionally, time-traveling backward in time will rot any purchased turnips.
