As of October 8, 2023, Navy is a member of the Patriot League conference for most sports. However, for football, Navy became a single-sport member of the American Athletic Conference beginning in the 2015 season. The American Athletic Conference announced the addition of six universities in 2021, including Navy. Therefore, Navy is currently a member of the American Athletic Conference for football and the Patriot League for most other sports.
