The three main religions in Israel are Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. According to a 2022 report, 73.6% of the Israeli population is Jewish, 18.1% is Muslim, 1.9% is Christian, and 1.6% is Druze. The remaining 4.8% includes people who identify with other religions. Within the Jewish population, there are four major religious subgroups: Hiloni (“secular”), Masorti (“traditional”), Dati (“religious”), and Haredi (“ultra-Orthodox”) . Muslims in Israel are the most religiously observant of the four major religious groups, with a majority saying they pray daily and attend religious services at least weekly. Christianity in Israel is primarily represented by branches of the Eastern Orthodox and Catholic Churches, while Protestants make up a smaller percentage.
