Valentine, and Cardiak, with Cardiak also producing the track. The music video for "When We" premiered in August 2017, and Tank performed the song live at the Soul Train Music Awards in November 2017. There is also an official remix of "When We" featuring Trey Songz and Ty Dolla Sign, which was released on February 13, 2018, with its music video premiering in March 2018.
