S.W.A.T. is an American action-crime television series that premiered on CBS on November 2, 2017. It is based on the 1975–76 TV series of the same name and was developed by Aaron Rahsaan Thomas and Shawn Ryan. The show follows Sergeant Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson, played by Shemar Moore, who leads an elite Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team in Los Angeles. The series combines standalone cases with ongoing storylines, often exploring the personal lives of the team members.
